This was an interesting stock image to use because the costume and prop already implies so much about this character, that it leaves little room for an artist to expand upon. I choose these images to be in the top ten because the artists have used interesting background images to create magical scenery, some them feel like they are screenshots from video games. By setting these scenes they begin to tell a story of the world of this character, who she is fighting or creatures she wants to hunt.

I was totally blown away by the enthusiastic response to this challenge! 78 entries is a fantastic result.
Everyone who entered a deserves a big congratulations for giving this a go, I saw that in many descriptions this new creation was the first they had felt inspired enough to make in a long time and that is a fabulous achievement.

Can you believe it has been almost 5 years since the last time I ran one of these challenges... Wow.
Someone recently mentioned how these challenges had helped inspire them during a troubled time in their life, I thought it might be a good idea to start them up again.

I think I misread this ... I thought the deadline was 2 weeks from Feb. 17th but now I am thinking the deadline is actually Feb. 17th ... oh well, was still fun to do and love the stock image so no problem!
