FAQ #157: Can I use things created by other people in my submissions?
Like the post below I am traditional artist using oil paints and I would like to check that I can also use your poses in paintings. You can check my work out at www.satyademasson.com
I did some photomanipulation before and I want to try again now. However, if i like what I do, I woulf like to put it on society6 so that people can buy it as various goodies. How do you charge in that case, as the number of sell is going to depend on how much people like my work ?
thank you in advance.
I have a similar question as musamolona. I would like to use one of your images in an acrylic painting. Since my work is expressive it would be modified to some degree. Right now, it would be part of a series. However, it is possible that it could end up in an exhibition. And, even, someday be sold as a limited edition print or something like that. I can share a copy of my works in progress with you by private email if you like.
I'd love to see your work in progress
I love your stock photos. May I use some of them as reference for oil paintings? I'd post them on my blog and personal web. Maybe for some exhibition too.
if I eventually sell one of my paintings (never happened so far), how much should I pay you?
Thank you in advance and keep up the good work!
I would like to use your stock as drawing reference for some drawings I have to draw for my art class. They will just be shown there and nowhere in the internet. Is that ok for you?
I am a small, part -time writer who self-publishes on Barnes and Noble and Amazon (although with 2 books on both sites I've sold a grand total of 31 copies over 3 years). The part where I am confused is the label "If the book/merchandise is available for free, printed on demand or less then 100 copies are being made, then you can use my stock for free" and "E-Book Only $20" Both websites are E-Books, but they do sell less than 100 copies.
Would I have to pay to use your stock for a cover photo?
