Alanna59 by faestock Alanna59 by faestock
Inspired by Alanna the Lioness from Tamora Pierce's books.
'The first adventure' is the book that made me fall in love with reading. I have such a clear memory of reading the end section where Alanna and Jonathan are defeating the Ysandir, I forgot to breath I was so excited.
Needless to say Ive been wanting to create something Alanna-esque for many a year now.

I like the idea on this one. A really good determination in the facial expression, however, the body seems to stiff. There is not enough flow or motion in it. The reason for this is your spear being held in the same angle and direction as the left leg. Also the left arm is holding the spear and performs a 90 degree angle, which gives the posture a stiff look. To correct this, or just put a little more life into it, moving your left leg a little more to the left, we're talking inches here, and turn the spear a few degrees away from the leg and in the horisontal direction, would give the posture more air and make it flow. This will also increase the strong determined expression your character is wearing.
